Job Title: Air Conditioning and Air Compressor Technician

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Purpose

To ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all air compressors, air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems to support uninterrupted plant operations.

The Job

Monitor daily compressor parameters including oil temperature, oil level, outlet temperature, pressure levels, and system alarms.
Conduct daily inspection for air and oil leakages in all compressor systems.
Clean air filters weekly using low-pressure air to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
Inspect and maintain electronic water drain (EWD) systems and manually drain condensate where necessary.
Perform daily cleaning of the compressor room to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
Inspect air conditioning units for leakages, abnormal noise, and performance issues, and report faults promptly.
Execute routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of all AC, refrigeration, and compressor systems.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs carried out.
Coordinate with external HVAC contractors and service providers to ensure system efficiency and uptime.
Ensure full compliance with safety standards and promptly report hazards, faults, or unsafe conditions.

Qualification

Trade Test I to III Certificate, City & Guilds (C&G), or OND in a relevant field (Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC Engineering)

Experience:

Minimum of two years cognate experience in HVAC, compressor maintenance, or industrial technical operations.

The Person Must:

Possess strong technical knowledge of HVAC, compressor systems, and refrigeration units.
Demonstrate ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly.
Be detail-oriented with strong preventive maintenance skills.
Demonstrate strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace safety standards.
