Job Title: Electrician

Location: Tincan, Lagos

Purpose

To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted depot operations in line with organisational productivity objectives.

The Job

Carry out maintenance and repair of electrical machines and systems to minimize downtime.
Perform routine inspection of machinery and submit detailed reports to the Milling Engineer.
Collect required materials from stores to support maintenance and repair activities.
Record and monitor electrical equipment readings for analysis and performance evaluation.
Wire and maintain electrical panels according to specifications to prevent electrical hazards and fire risks.
Execute planned preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
Maintain clean and safe work areas through proper housekeeping practices.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and repair requests to ensure operational continuity.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and FMN Lifesaving Rules.
Report all faults, safety violations, and behavioural risks to the Safety Department and relevant supervisors.

Qualification

5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade I to III and OND in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience:

Minimum of two years cognate experience in electrical maintenance or industrial operations.

The Person Must:

Be technically skilled in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrate strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
Be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdown situations.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in wiring and installation.
