The Nigerian Army has officially opened applications for the 92 Regular Recruits Intake (92RRI) — one of the major recruitment exercises for 2026. Who Can Apply?

The recruitment covers two main categories:

1. Non-Tradesmen/Women
Age: 18–22 years as of 21 October 2026
Minimum of 4 passes (including English Language) in WASSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS (not more than two sittings)

2. Tradesmen/Women
Age: 18–26 years as of 21 October 2026
Same educational requirement as above, plus a relevant Trade Test or City & Guilds Certificate

Special Skilled Recruits
The Army is also specifically seeking Nigerians with technical skills such as:
– Boat operators
– Marine mechanics
– Electrical and mechanical engineers
– Other technical apprentices

For this special category, the age limit has been extended up to 35 years as of 21 October 2026.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

All applicants must:

– Be single and Nigerian citizens by birth
– Possess a valid NIN and BVN (names and date of birth must match across all documents)
– Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards
– Have no criminal record
– Meet the height requirement: minimum 1.68m (male) and 1.65m (female)
– Apply using their state of origin (not state of residence)
– Possess a valid certificate of state of origin and birth certificate (or court age declaration)
