Job Title: Embroidery Machine Operator

Location: Akerele Street, Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract – 1 year (Renewable based on performance and business needs; 3-month probation period)
Reports to: Operations Manager

​​​​​​Role Summary

  • Responsible for operating computerized embroidery machines to produce high-quality monograms, custom embroidery designs, and decorative finishes on fashion and textile products.
  • Ideal for an individual seeking hands-on technical experience within fashion production while contributing to a fast-growing creative enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
Embroidery Production:

  • Operate computerized embroidery machines to produce custom monograms and embroidery designs with precision, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Load and adjust embroidery files using specialized embroidery software and digitized patterns.
  • Prepare fabrics and materials for embroidery, including proper hooping and stabilizing.
  • Monitor embroidery runs and inspect finished products to ensure strict quality standards are maintained.
  • Troubleshoot routine machine issues, including thread breaks, needle problems, and alignment corrections.
  • Perform regular machine cleaning and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Track production output, thread usage, material inventory, and maintenance logs.
  • Meet assigned production volume targets while upholding high quality.

Team & Operations Support:

  • Collaborate closely with operations and design teams to align with production timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels for embroidery consumables and supplies.

Customer & Brand Support:

  • Assist with customer interactions when required.
  • Provide operational support during pop-ups, fashion events, and promotional brand activations.
  • Represent the brand professionally during physical activations and client-facing engagements.

Requirements
Essential:

  • Proven experience operating computerized embroidery machines (minimum of 1 year preferred).
  • Proficiency with embroidery software and digitized design files.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent production quality.
  • Solid understanding of different fabric types and their respective embroidery stabilization needs.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and implement corrective solutions promptly.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict production deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in pop-ups, events, and physical activations.
  • Punctual, proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Genuine interest in fashion, textiles, or creative manufacturing.
  • Must reside in Lagos and be able to commute reliably to Surulere daily.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, events, and peak periods when required.
