Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Lagos and Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Summary
- As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and availability of production and utility equipment through preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
- You will support manufacturing operations by minimizing equipment downtime, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production and utility equipment
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they result in operational downtime
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, compressors, generators, and other utility systems
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment performance records accurately
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with cGMP, safety, and company procedures
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities
- Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure equipment readiness and operational efficiency
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and operational efficiency
Requirements
- OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing industry is an added advantage
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and maintenance documentation practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics

- Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet maintenance deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements
