Job Description

  • We are seeking experienced Production Workshop Operators (Baling) to join the production team of a manufacturing company specialising in treated insecticide net production.
  • The successful candidates will be responsible for consolidating and baling packaged treated insecticide nets in accordance with production requirements, ensuring proper compression, arrangement, handling, and preparation for storage or dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the baling of individually packaged treated insecticide nets according to established production procedures.
  • Arrange the required number of packaged nets correctly before the baling process.
  • Operate and handle baling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure nets are properly positioned and evenly compressed during baling.
  • Check bales for proper compression, stability, and overall appearance.
  • Secure completed bales appropriately to prevent movement or damage during handling, storage, and transportation.
  • Ensure bale quantities correspond with production and packaging requirements.
  • Identify and report damaged packaging, improperly sealed packs, equipment faults, or other production issues.
  • Maintain accurate and orderly handling of completed bales within the workshop.
  • Keep the baling area clean, organised, and free from obstructions.
  • Follow all production, quality, safety, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial baling experience, preferably within textile, netting, or similar manufacturing operations.
  • Previous experience operating baling or compression equipment in a production environment.
  • Good understanding of baling, bundling, compression, and securing procedures.
  • Ability to handle repetitive production tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain required bale quantities and standards.
  • Ability to identify and report equipment or production issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
