Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Management Assistant – Chinese Translator to support effective communication between Chinese-speaking stakeholders and internal teams.
- The role will provide accurate Mandarin–English translation and interpretation across business meetings, documentation, and strategic engagements, ensuring clarity, cultural alignment, and business accuracy in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time verbal interpretation (Mandarin – English) during meetings, calls, and executive engagements.
- Translate written materials including business documents, contracts, emails, presentations, and reports.
- Support senior leadership and cross-functional teams in engagements with Chinese partners.
- Act as a cultural and communication bridge to minimize misunderstandings and improve collaboration.
- Review and proofread translated content for accuracy, tone, and consistency.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience as a professional Chinese Translator or Interpreter.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of business and professional terminology.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple translation requests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HSK Level 5 or 6 certification.
- Experience in fintech, finance, technology, or multinational organizations.
- Exposure to China–Africa business environments.
