Rainoil Limited is an integrated downstream oil and gas company. A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ESG & Sustainability Supervisor

Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Full-time

Description

  • ESG Reporting & Strategy: Developing and implementing ESG strategies and managing GHG Accounting (Scope 1,2 & 3), sustainability reporting with FRCN’s ISSB (IFRS S1 & S2, SASB and local frameworks).
  • Compliance & Monitoring: Overseeing ESG services, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations(e.g., ISO 14001, etc), and driving sustainability culture and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with regulators, internal and external partners.
  • Sustainability Financial awareness: ESG investments impact, carbon costing and compliance with IFC standards.
  • Data Analysis and Sustainability metrics: Using data to drive sustainability decision-making and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Green House Gases Accounting & Carbon Management (Scope 1,2 & 3)
  • ESG reporting and Frameworks (IFRS S1 & S2, GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC)
  • EMS -ISO 14001 Frameworks
  • Regulatory Compliance (Local and International Environmental Laws)
  • Energy efficiency and decarbonization strategies
  • Climate and operational risk management
  • Financial awareness – carbon cost and ESG investment Impact
  • Data analysis and sustainability metrics
  • Strategic thinking and alignment with business goals
  • Policy Development and governance
  • Stakeholder engagement – Regulators, communities, etc
  • Cross-functional departmental collaboration
  • Change Management – Driving Sustainment Culture

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field; MBA/Master’s is often strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Usually requires 3–5+ years in sustainability leadership or related technical roles (e.g., in oil & gas, consultancy, etc).
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of ESG frameworks and climate resilience.
