Responsibilities
- Perform Tax compliance reviews (CIT, WHT, VAT, PIT, etc)
- Work on external audits and internal reporting.
- Work on cash repatriation and tax credit projects.
- Assist Tax Manager with tax related projects.
- Prepare, review and file corporate tax returns and indirect tax returns.
- Review statutory fiscal accounts to meet filing deadlines.
- Prepare, review, consolidate and submit internal management reports
- Identify and deliver continuous process improvements; support and implement automation.
- Achieve operational effectiveness, set targets for controls and identify control improvements.
- Deliver on tax effectiveness and efficiency targets.
- Mentor new members of the tax team.
- Support on tax audits as required.
- Support with restructuring initiatives.
Experience & Exposures
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 4–6 years of experience in tax practice, ideally gained within a reputable professional services or audit environment
- Professional qualification or membership of a national/international Chartered Accounting or Taxation Institute is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of tax regulations, tax audits and compliance processes
- Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP.
- Experience in the Energy sector and/or Big4 audit firms will be an advantage.
