Job Summary
- We are seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support budgeting, payroll, reconciliation, financial reporting and statutory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
- Record income, expenses, payments and other financial transactions.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and supporting documents.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Conduct bank, cash and account reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments.
- Support payroll preparation and maintain payroll records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting and expenditure control.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper authorization.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents.
- Assist with tax, pension and other statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective action.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the company’s financial information.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Two to four years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial-reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Good attention to detail and record-management ability.
- Understanding of Nigerian tax and statutory requirements.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
- Professional accounting certification or progress toward certification is an advantage
Salary
N180,000 – N200,000 per month.
