The team you would join
- Sun King’s Global Corporate Risk team identifies, monitors, and controls the credit risk inherent in the company’s direct-to-consumer business.
- The Corporate Risk team works with the company’s PAYG Direct Sales, Operations, and Finance teams across multiple countries to maintain the health of the solar energy loan portfolio.
- The team continuously examines sales and customer payment-related data, identifies pilots, and executes new sales, collections, and incentive processes.
- The Corporate Risk team also ensures the company’s efforts around customer data privacy and consumer protection.
About the role
- We are looking for a diligent and well-organized team member to join our Risk department as a Zonal Credit Manager.
- The Employee will drive the efforts and processes related to collections of our PAYG products in the field.
- They will also give advice and suggestions on how to improve customer payments and satisfaction while ensuring that the company’s offer matches end-users’ expectations.
What you would be expected to do
- Assist your Credit Manager in developing methodologies to improve the current processes.
- Suggest enhancements to current processes and policies to avoid operational risks.
- Present ideas via reports and presentations, outline findings, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist the Credit Process Manager in implementing audit recommendations.
- Carry out periodic spot checks on processes and provide findings and recommendations on the risks identified.
- Investigate fraud cases and give recommendations on the same (which includes data collection and interviewing claimants).
- Identify and classify potential default risk through data collection and interaction with clients.
- Preparation of field reports/collation of data/documentation and report.
- Red flag identification and timely reporting of the same
- Any other task allocated by the Credit Manager
You might be a strong candidate if you
- Have a minimum of 2 years working experience, preferably in the Control and Compliance/Risk department.
- Possess strong data collection skills.
- Are excellent at fraud detection & investigation.
- Are proficient in MS Excel (Advanced level).
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
- Have good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Have previous work experience in MFIs or banks.
- Are multilingual ( English & Yoruba).
