Making of Champions (MoC) is a Nigerian sports media, events, and talent management company founded in 2013 by Bambo Akani. It was established to elevate the profile and performance of sports—particularly track and field athletics—in Nigeria and across Africa. Starting with the documentary Making of Champions: “The History” after Nigeria’s zero-medal performance at the London 2012 Olympics, MoC has grown into a leading force in athlete discovery and development through its Athletics Academy, professional track club, media coverage of major competitions, and initiatives such as the MoC Grand Prix and the MTN CHAMPS schools athletics program. Its mission is to discover and develop African athletes capable of delivering medals on the global stage while maximizing sport’s potential to unite and inspire.
