Job Title: Recycling Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking proactive, results-driven, and highly organized Recycling Officers to support our nationwide device recycling program.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, collecting, and managing damaged mobile phone panels from repair centers, technicians, dealers, and other collection partners.
- The role requires building strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring efficient collection processes, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the company’s sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard phone repair centers, technicians, retailers, and other potential suppliers of damaged phone panels.
- Collect and aggregate damaged, or discarded mobile phone panels from designated partners and collection points.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with repair shops, service centers, and other recycling partners.
- Negotiate collection terms and ensure consistent supply from assigned territories.
- Inspect collected phone panels and sort them according to company guidelines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of collections, supplier details, quantities, and inventory movements.
- Prepare periodic reports on collection activities, volumes, and market trends.
- Coordinate logistics for the safe transportation of collected panels to designated hubs or warehouses.
- Promote awareness of responsible electronic waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and identify opportunities to increase collection volumes within assigned regions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and environmental standards.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE/OND/HND/BSc in any discipline.
- Previous experience in field operations, procurement, recycling, logistics, sales, or business development is an advantage.
- Good understanding of mobile phone components and the mobile device repair ecosystem is an added advantage.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets with minimal supervision.
- Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions.
- Must be trustworthy, proactive, and results-oriented.
