Reports To: Head, PPU Packing Plant
Job Summary
- Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, transport, and stack materials while adhering to safety procedures and supporting efficient warehouse, production, and dispatch operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate the forklift to move materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport goods to designated locations.
- Stack and arrange materials properly.
- Conduct daily pre-use equipment inspections.
- Report any defects, damages, or safety concerns.
- Follow all HSE and company safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Assist with stock handling and inventory activities as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
- Minimum of SSCE / WAEC or equivalent qualification.
- Valid forklift operator license
Functional Competencies:
- Forklift operation and material handling skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse and dispatch procedures.
- Ability to conduct pre-operation equipment inspections.
- Understanding of HSE and safe lifting practices.
- Basic inventory and stock handling knowledge.
- Ability to identify and report equipment defects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in operations.
