Job Summary
- To plan, direct, coordinate, and control all production activities of the factory to achieve targeted cane crushing, sugar production, quality standards, operational efficiency, cost control, and safety objectives while ensuring optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal targets.
- Coordinate all factory production activities from cane reception through sugar packaging.
- Monitor production performance and take corrective actions to achieve operational objectives.
- Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity and resources.
- Monitor factory efficiency indicators and recovery performance
- Drive initiatives aimed at maximizing sugar recovery and minimizing losses.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvement measures.
- Promote continuous improvement and best manufacturing practices.
- Lead and supervise Process Managers, Shift Managers, Production Supervisors, and other production personnel.
- Ensure proper deployment and utilization of manpower.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Develop a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in planning preventive maintenance, annual shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure prompt reporting and resolution of equipment failures affecting production.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- B.Sc. / HND Chemical Engineering / Chemistry or related field
- Any relevant professional Certification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in sugar industries.
