A fast-growing digital media distribution company is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused Publisher Relationship Officer to manage publisher partnerships, support content distribution, and strengthen relationships with publishers and other digital media stakeholders. Responsibilities
Daily Content Upload Monitoring:
- Ensure every Nigerian publisher with a scheduled publication day has completed expected uploads and confirmed live status.
- Consistently follow up with publishers to promptly avert missed uploads.
- Verify that dual thumbnails have been generated correctly for broadsheet titles (front cover and masthead).
- Promptly escalate any platform processing error to the technical team if the publisher contact cannot resolve it directly.
Publisher Onboarding;
- Manage the publisher onboarding process from the signed commercial agreement to the first live edition.
- Support verification of onboarding documents for every new publisher: CAC Certificate of Incorporation, FIRS Tax Identification Number, and a bank account verification letter on bank letterhead.
- Mentor publisher focal points through the upload pipeline during a dedicated onboarding session.
- Coordinate and support archive upload sessions for all tier-one and tier-two publishers.
Publisher Revenue Guarantee Program Management:
- Routinely monitor, support, and notify enrolled publishers on program qualifying conditions.
- Routinely review qualifying evidence for the program.
- Routinely document and disseminate reasons for unqualified publishers.
- Escalate any suspected fraudulent evidence submission to the CEO immediately.
Publisher Co-Marketing Coordination:
- Provide the platform co-marketing brief to every publisher upon onboarding: their unique attribution link, English-language social media post templates, and a recommended posting schedule.
- Collaborate with each publisher’s digital or social media team to align promotion posts with high-engagement news days.
- Track subscriber acquisition attributed to each publisher’s referral activity using the platform’s attribution system.
- Report monthly to the CEO.
Corporate Account Outreach;
- Develop and maintain a target list of corporate accounts in Abuja and Lagos, such as law firms, advertising agencies, international and local NGOs, diplomatic missions, and organisations with large, reading-culture workforces.
- Distribute a minimum of 50 personalised outreach emails per month. Each outreach must name the specific contact, reference the publications most relevant to their organisation, and include a custom 14-day institutional trial.
- Manage the corporate account pipeline and escalate pricing conversations above the standard institutional tier to the CEO.
- Any other duties assigned to you.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 3 – 5 years experience.
Remuneration: N200,000-250,000
