Job Title: Regional Agency Support Officer
Location: Lagos

About the Role
- The job purpose is to recruit, support, and manage regional aggregators; champion POS management and distribution within the assigned region; and manage other Smartcash and Airtel Money agency businesses in the region.
Responsibilities
Aggregator Recruitment and Management:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard quality aggregators within the assigned region.
- Ensure 100% active aggregator engagement across the region.
- Ensure each aggregator maintains at least a 95% active agent base at all times.
- Recruit the appropriate number of aggregators in line with the approved distribution structure for each state within the region.
- Ensure each aggregator recruits a minimum of 500 agents to drive business growth.
- Continuously identify opportunities to increase the quality aggregator base within the region.
Business Development and Market Expansion:
- Identify and leverage distribution opportunities within the region.
- Drive market penetration across all states within the region.
- Monitor and track ongoing market initiatives.
- Effectively report competitive activities within the region and implement appropriate countermeasures.
- Immediately address or escalate any unusual competitor activities and sales support initiatives that may threaten business performance.
POS Operations and Management:
- Ensure aggregators promptly make funds available to all agents within their network and maintain zero float balances.
- Drive a minimum of 15 transactions per agent per day.
- Maintain full custody and accountability for all POS devices assigned to the region.
- Assign POS devices to aggregators based on approved qualification criteria.
- Manage all POS devices within the region.
- Coordinate POS device distribution, retrieval, and other related support activities.
- Coordinate the repair of faulty POS devices in collaboration with the State End User Support (EUS) team.
Branding and Visibility Management:
- Ensure appropriate and effective outlet branding is implemented in line with the approved Picture of Success (PICOS) standards.
- Identify and maximize visibility opportunities for the Smartcash brand within the region.
- Effectively manage POSM material stock across regional warehouses to prevent damage, wastage, and obsolescence.
- Train aggregators on POSM deployment to agents in line with the Picture of Success (PICOS) standards.
Educational Qualifications
- A First Degree in any discipline.
- A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
Relevant Experience & Functional / Technical Skills:
- 3 years of commercial/ business management experience
- Team leadership experience
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in POS Management
- Computer literacy
- Sales knowledge
- Product/ Service development
- Product/ Service management
- Interpersonal skills
- Customer orientation
- Financial services, banking, PSB and Fintech experience will be a great advantage.
