Job Description

Role Purpose
Perform and support all aspects of Reservoir Engineering in support of work program that would replenish SNEPCo Deepwater Asset production by executing rig workover and new drilling activities in the ADSSM DW team.  These activities include:

  • Implement the Post DG-3 Development activities that will increase and safeguard and optimize the asset production potential and long term ultimate recovery.
  • To apply scientific principles to understand and predict dynamic reservoir performance and generate production forecasts and resource volume estimates for new wells (pre/post drilling).
  • Estimate recoverable volumes and forecast for new opportunities
  • Ensure discipline input are captured in the well proposals
  • Support data acquisition (PVT, Cores and logs) and risk and uncertainty management
  • Support well and reservoir monitoring and management activities
  • Ensure compliant resource volume estimation & reporting

Accountabilities

  • Post DG3 Development activities, execution of rig workover and new drilling activities
  • Ensuring timely and integrated delivery with all other disciplines and stakeholders in the activities of the team, including wells, CWI, Regulator and partners
  • Application of appropriate (new) technologies, provide RE input to the activities such as Well Completion, intervention and workover etc;
  • Identify and lead execution of short-term and long-term oil and gas generating activities
  • Perform analyses to understand and predict dynamics of reservoirs for new opportunity. Document results on discipline specific issues.
  • Prepare and lead execution of proposals for reservoir data acquisition. Screen proposals from junior staff. Collect and interpret data and initiate follow-up activities.
  • Provide advice on Reservoir Engineering matters related to well planning, drilling and completion operations
  • Ensure DEP compliance delivery and documented assurance of Pore Pressure Prediction estimates for new well and all well entry activities, including abandonment
  • Coordinate Technical Assurance of individual deliverables. Liase with TA2/1 to ensure QC actions are closed out and documented.
  • Participate in Reservoir Engineering Discipline activities. Be part of one discipline improvement project
  • Act as technical coach to team members
  • Able to present discipline and cross-discipline work to senior management and regulators

Requirements

    • University Degree in a Technical / Scientific subject, preferably in Petroleum Engineering.
    • Have significant experience as a Reservoir Engineer with proven track record
    • Strong technical competence in core reservoir engineering and good understanding of other sub-surface disciplines. Able to work independently.
    • Have good inter-personal and communication skills and able to operate in multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Fully familiar with all reservoir engineering technical and productivity computing.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
    • Able to manage all HSSE issues.
