Job Summary 

  • The Vendor & Contract Management Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing constructive relationships with suppliers while ensuring contracts align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • The role involves negotiating supplier contracts, managing contract lifecycles, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring value for money across all vendor engagements.
  • The successful candidate will also support audit processes, maintain supplier databases, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure service continuity and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in alignment with business requirements and operational objectives.
  • Ensure effective contract lifecycle management, including renewals and compliance monitoring.
  • Provide valuable input during contracting and renewal processes, including SLA metrics, penalty clauses, escalation matrices, and regulatory clauses.
  • Develop and maintain supplier policies, standards, and supporting supplier/contract databases.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Group Vendor Management and Procurement teams to ensure prompt contract renewals and zero expired contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure delivery of quality services and value for money.
  • Increase the number of suppliers meeting contractual targets and reduce breaches of contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with the IT Service Monitoring team (PACC/SRE) to track and resolve service-related issues.
  • Ensure timely provision of audit and assessment documentation for IT third parties.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and suppliers to gather required audit information and documentation.
  • Maintain clear ownership and visibility of supplier and contractual issues.
  • Ensure service availability is not compromised by supplier performance challenges.

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 4–5 years’ experience in Vendor Management or Contract Management.
  • Experience or exposure to financial management is an added advantage.
