Job Title: Earth Works Supervisor
Location: SSC P-Numan, Adamawa
Job Summary
- To provide support to the Engineer / Manager in respect of supervision of earthworks construction activities related to Agricultural Development Projects, and ensure the projects are completed as per approved designs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise all onsite earthmoving activities.
- Managing earthworks crews, including heavy equipment operators and ground workers.
- Enforcing safety regulations and promoting a safety-conscious work environment, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
- Monitoring earthmoving activities to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Conducting regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Overseeing the use of equipment, materials, and other resources, ensuring they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain project timelines.
- Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, safety inspections, and any other relevant project documentation.
- Ensure the equipment are fueled on time.
- Report all machinery breakdowns and down times to workshops.
- Supervise all workers at the construction site.
- Identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that arise during the project, finding solutions to keep the project on track.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- Degree / HND / ND in Civil Engineering or Engineering Construction.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in earthworks construction.
