Job Title: Maintenance Manager – Mechanical
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Job Description
- Manage the effective maintenance of all the machines in the mills to ensure that they are performing efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize preventive maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
- Work on machine pro-plant generated by pro-plan system.
- Ensure reduction of downtime to the barest minimum to prevent loss due to machine downtime.
- Plan and order spare parts and tools for maintenance work to avoid delay due to material availability.
- Document maintenance records for analysis and future reference.
- Technical Training and development of technical subordinates to improve performance.
- Control usage of materials and tools for optimal efficiency of machines.
- Vet and recommend contract awards for 3rd party maintenance services to ensure compliance to specification.
Requirements
Qualification:
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum requirement: Five (5) years cognate experience.
The Person Must:
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management processes, corrosion prevention techniques, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
- Analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
- Efficient planning and execution of maintenance schedules.
