Job Summary

This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive productivity, solve technical challenges, and maintain strict compliance with quality, safety, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the execution of construction projects by contractors and site teams.
Monitor daily construction activities to ensure timely project delivery and proper documentation.
Identify, manage, and resolve technical issues and construction snags within approved timelines.
Monitor material issuance and minimize material wastage.
Review contractors’ work progress and provide regular updates and recommendations to the Construction Project Manager.
Plan and coordinate workforce scheduling, deployment, and productivity.
Ensure timely availability of construction materials to prevent project delays.
Monitor compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, housekeeping, and site organization.
Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly project progress reports.
Coordinate contractors, artisans, suppliers, and vendors to achieve project milestones.
Support the Construction Project Manager in project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies across all project sites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in construction project execution.
Registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is required.
Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is required.
Proven experience managing contractors, site operations, and construction teams.
Strong understanding of construction methods, project scheduling, quality control, and HSE requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities across project sites.
