Slum and Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN) is seeking a highly motivated and research-focused Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to health research, scientific projects, data analysis, and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving health outcomes in underserved and vulnerable communities. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification and research experience in public health, epidemiology, medicine, health sciences, social sciences, biomedical sciences, global health, community health, or related fields, with strong research, analytical, scientific writing, data analysis, project management, and communication skills.

Role Overview
- Lead and support high-quality research on health and social issues affecting slum and rural communities, contributing to SRHIN’s research output, publications, and evidence-based programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead independent and collaborative research studies
- Analyse quantitative and/or qualitative data and produce peer-reviewed publications
- Support grant writing and research funding applications
- Mentor research assistants and junior researchers
- Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
- Contribute to the translation of research findings into policy and programme recommendations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field
- Demonstrated research and publication track record
- Strong quantitative/qualitative research and analytical skills
- Experience with research in low-resource, slum, or rural settings is an advantage
- Excellent academic writing and communication skills.
